The game works just like the previous entry — a protagonist that's very afraid of the dark needs to escape from a dark dungeon — but with a couple of additions, the biggest one being a portal gun that works just like the one from Portal. There's also sliding doors that are activated by pressure plates, a pickaxe to break down broken walls, and arches that collapse and block your path once walked through.
