Lesson #3 The articulation of consonants М, П, Б, Н ,Т, Д.

Today we are going to study Russian consonants. There are 21 of them in our language. We need to focus on the articulation of consonants more than of vowels, because as u remember when we pronounce vowels the oxygen easily goes out through the mouth, but when we pronounce consonants the oxygen finds barriers. That’s why you need to know all the rules of articulation of all consonant sounds. In Russian language you can find many classifications of consonants. Almost every Russian consonant can have hard and soft variants, some of them also can be voiced and voiceless. Consonants and vowels form syllables, and as u know every word consists of syllables. So lets try to study the articulation and pronunciation rules of such Russian consonants as М, П, Б, Н, Т, Д.
