04 Aug 2026 A summer night walk south through Osaka, from the crowds of Osaka Station to the empty office streets of Sakaisuji-Honmachi. Date: Thursday, July 30, 2026 Weather: Sunny Temperature: 31°C Humidity: ~70% Distance: about 3.5 km Start Time: 7:40 PM Camera: DJI Osmo Pocket 4 The walk begins inside Osaka Station, still full of people at half past seven, then crosses the elevated decks above the bus terminal with the Umeda skyline lit up on every side. It follows Yotsubashi-suji south past Nishi-Umeda, turns at Sakurabashi into the narrow lanes of Kitashinchi, and comes out on the river at Nakanoshima, where the expressway above the water is lit in red and blue. From Yodoyabashi the route runs down Midosuji and into the old merchant blocks of Semba and Doshomachi, ending in Honmachi and Sakaisuji-Honmachi, where the offices have gone dark for the night.
