Ночевала тучка золотая (Nochevala tuchka zalataya)–Русский хор Йельского университета

Yale Russian Chorus: Nochevala tuchka zalataya (A Little Golden Cloud Spent the Night). This art song, op.3, no.3, by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908), sets to music Mikhail Lermontov's poem "The Rock" ("Ut'os"). It is an allegory of yearning and loss involving a little golden cloud that spends the night on an old rock, only to fly off at sunrise. The composer later used the same melody for a 3-part setting for women's chorus (op.13, no.2). 65th Anniversary Concert by the Yale Russian Chorus and Alumni. Sunday, October 14, 2018, Woolsey Hall, Yale University. John Stewart, Conductor.
