Ведь пастуху стада, что барину поместье: Он с них оброк волной берет; И масла и сыры скопляет. Подчас он тож и шкурки с них дерет: Лишь только корм он сам им промышляет, А корму на зиму у пастуха запас!» Вот от своих овец к гостям он корм таскает; Голубит их, ласкает; К ним за день ходит по сту раз; Их всячески старается привадить. Убавил корму у своих, Теперь, покамест, не до них, И со своими ж легче сладить: Сенца им бросить по клочку, А станут приступать, так дать им по толчку, Чтоб менее в глаза совались.
