Having spent a lot of time in the Miami Beach area, the option not to get bored is to investigate adjacent lands situated just behind the Biscayne, aka the Miami mainland. This is a big notion; there are many different boroughs within the mainland to pay a visit to. We wanted to go to the "Little Havana" and "Little Haiti" and bring ourselves there by bike, which was a better option to have a look at these interesting in culturally terms neighbourhoods.
