Official Music Video - The Things We Do - Kelly Boesch | 4K

I wrote this song thinking about some of the silly little things I do, and am not exactly sure why. Maybe a little OCD, maybe just the way people are. I obsessively straighten pillows, but might have a messy pile of misc random stuff sitting on a counter. I save things that I have no use for and am not sure why. Luckily not a hoarder, just some little trinkets or clothes. When I was younger I used to step over cracks on the sidewalk and would never step on them. Made me feel weird to do it. Don’t do it anymore but still think about it. The song is called “The Things We Do”. It’s available on streaming under my name :-) These video clips were made separately and I was looking for a song for it to edit them to and tried this song and it felt perfect. I always work from feeling. If it doesn’t feel right I won’t even post it. The AI made the characters do some sign language later in the video. I am so curious if they are actually saying something. Let me know if anyone knows :-). 'The Things We Do ' [Verse 1] I check the lock Then check it twice I don't know why It just feels right I move the chair An inch or two It's just a thing I have to do [Verse 2] I take the long way Driving home Down a road I've always known There's nothing there I need to see But something always Calls to me [Chorus] The things we do for no reason The little rules we never break The quiet choices that we keep The tiny steps we always take They don't add up And that's okay We're just built A different way [Verse 3] I save a number I never call It doesn't make Much sense at all I keep a shirt I never wear It's missing someone Who isn't there [Chorus] The things we do for no reason The little rules we never break The quiet choices that we keep The tiny steps we always take We all have quiet little rules We keep inside our head A million tiny rituals That remain unsaid The things we do for no reason The little rules we never break The quiet choices that we keep The tiny steps we always take Lyrics written by me, Kelly Boesch.
