Yevgenia Aleksanova (Slivoyeva), Urmia.
Assyrians have been living in the Assyrian village of Urmia since 1924, when they had moved there from Iran and Turkey after the genocide of 1915. In November of 2014 we visited a resident of Urmia, Evgeniya Aleksanova (Slivoeyva). She made an Assyrian dish “Booshala” for us and talked about her relative who went missing during the war.
