Elite Pirate Quick Kill | Metroid Prime
Elite Pirates and Phazon Elite have an interesting loophole in their AI: they don't attack you or try to defend themselves until they make a full eye contact with you. All you have to do to prevent it is to slowly strafe around them. This trick also works with Omega Pirate: go to the right of his capsule and skip the Omega Pirate's awakening cutscene as soon as it triggers. UPD. It even works in Remastered! For those who're wondering how I was able to fire Missiles this fast: there's a trick called Rapid Fire Missiles. With the Power Beam active and after firing a Missile, you can manually close the arm cannon by pressing A or Up on the C-Stick, which cancels a cooldown between Missiles. And HOLDING Up on the C-Stick then mashing Y (not too fast, it requires a certain tempo of the button presses to work properly) allows you to fire Missiles one after another with pretty much no cooldown. The game can't spawn more than 3 Missiles simultaneously, so stay relatively close to your target when using this trick.
