Three Wishes (1995) ➤ Review (GR)

John Holman, while traveling with his two sons, 11‑year‑old Tom and 5‑year‑old Gani, accidentally runs over a vagrant named Jack MacCloud, breaking his leg. Feeling sorry for him, Ginny invites Jack, along with his dog named Betty Jane, to stay at her house until his leg heals. After some initial difficulties adapting to this new way of life, Jack soon becomes the family’s favourite, and everyone wants him to stay. Jack begins teaching baseball to Tom, who is very homesick for his father, a soldier who went missing during the Korean War, and they develop a strong bond. Meanwhile, Gani believes there’s more to Jack and Betty Jane than meets the eye, and he’s determined to find out what exactly it is.
